I purchased a custom couch from Furniture Envy 10 years ago and the foam feels like I bought it yesterday. To this day, I still get compliments from friends/family saying how comfortable the couch is to sit/sleep on. I love it. And also everyone who works here is so nice and helpful. We spent time shopping for a custom sectional sofa. We checked out a number of stores including visiting the showrooms for 7th Avenue and Joybird, both of which have very slick marketing for their "modular" products. We came across Furniture Envy and although their location and showroom were not as fancy as the others, it was clear that their product was superior and more reasonably priced. Additionally, they had a much wider selection of fabric choices. The salesman, Snow, took the time to understand what we were looking for, our budget, color and fabric choices.. including something that was pet friendly and steered us in the right direction. The production time was reasonable and the white glove delivery was professional. We've only had our new sectional for a week, so can't speak to long term performance yet, but it is super comfortable and was made exactly the way we wanted it.

I had a great experience purchasing a new sofa from Shirley. I was looking at the usual brands (West Elm, Room & Board, CB2, etc) but then I went to see one of the Furniture Envy sofas in-person. That changed everything, the quality and workmanship were in a different league and it was clear the moment I sat on it. I've gone through 4 different sofas previously that have simply worn out before they should have. I'd much rather spend a bit more now for a sofa to last a lifetime and this one looks like it will.

We worked with Shirley & the FE team on a custom L-shaped bench for our dining space. Shirley was patient while we worked through design details, measurements, and fabric choices. The estimated timing was accurate, pricing was transparent and fair, and most importantly, the piece turned out beautifully!

Shirley is a dream to work with. Just as important, she has a huge collection of fabrics to chose from, beautiful sofa designs and the quality of the work is impeccable. She made many small adjustments to the design of my two sofas and those instructions came out perfectly. It’s just amazing to have a business that can make your best vision come true.

I was a little disappointed with the West Elm sectional I had originally purchased for my living room because as beautiful as some of their mid century furniture can be, I also think the value you get for what you pay is questionable. Enter Furniture Envy Sofas--a local SF business that a friend of mine had recommended to me after I made complimentary remarks about his couch, which I mistakenly thought had come from Room&Board. So, during one of my frequent visits to the bay, I stopped by the showroom and worked with the ever cheerful and knowledgeable Shirley to design my custom sectional--which now fits the space perfectly! The whole process from design to selecting fabric to delivery was essentially seamless. In just eight weeks, a beautiful, custom made sectional was delivered to me in Seattle--all at a cost that was on par with what I paid for my other West Elm sectional, but this one is larger, more comfortable, and much more durable. Snow has an impeccable eye for design and spent time with us helping create a beautiful couch. We couldn't have done it without him! We will never again buy a couch from anywhere else!

We bought a sectional from Furniture Envy back in 2013 that we LOVED, and tried again to buy in 2017 but they ghosted us when it came to a shipping quote. We assumed they didn't want to deal with shipping to the southeast. We're in the market for another sofa now, and their new-ish website states that they ship everywhere. I tried to contact them via the contact form on their website, as well as facebook messenger, but never got a response. This was over a week ago. They have awesome sofas (or at least they used to) if you can actually order one! 😀 Updated: all good now!
